ESOL Entry 1
This course is open to anyone who is just starting to learn English. You will build basic skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing to help you with everyday life, like shopping, using transport, or talking to a doctor. It's a friendly and supportive first step in learning English.
ESOL Entry 2
This course is open to anyone who can use simple English and want to improve. You will learn how to give more information, ask and answer questions, and read and write short texts. It will help you feel more confident in everyday situations like filling in forms or talking at work.
ESOL Entry 3
This course is open to anyone who can already communicate in English but want to develop more detail and fluency. You’ll practise speaking clearly, reading longer texts, writing messages and emails, and understanding more about life in the UK. It also prepares you for moving on to work or further study.
ESOL Level 1
This course helps you to become more confident in using English in work, education, and daily life. You will develop skills for writing reports or emails, having formal conversations, and reading texts like letters, adverts, or instructions. It’s a great step if you're thinking about a job or college course.
ESOL Level 2
This advanced course is for adults who want to use English at a high level for work or study. You’ll improve your grammar, vocabulary, and communication for formal and professional settings. It’s ideal for progressing to further education, training, or employment in English-speaking environments.
ESOL for Beginners
This course is open to all who speak English as a second language, have very little or no spoken English, can read and write in their own language and wish to improve their level of English.
ESOL Literacy for Beginners
This course is open to all who speak English as a second language, have very little or no spoken English, and are unable to read and write in their own language and wish to improve their level of English.
ESOL Skills for Employment
This course supports learners in developing key employability skills such as communication, teamwork, timekeeping, and understanding workplace expectations. It’s ideal for those preparing to enter the job market or progress to further training, with a focus on real-world skills like job searching, applying for roles, and customer care.
Stepping Stones into Functional Skills English
This course is designed for learners who want to improve their grammar and build confidence before moving on to Functional Skills English. It focuses on key language skills needed for everyday communication, work, and further study, helping you take the next step in your learning journey.
Volunteering to Support English Language Teaching and Learning Level 1
This course is open to anyone interested in helping others learn English as a second language. You'll gain basic skills and knowledge to support ESOL learners in schools, colleges, or community settings. It’s ideal for those new to learning support or who have learned English themselves and want to support others.
